Thanks. Just found this, but the RO is now fully functional. My son (who has one) explained the physics to me and a note from your office told me to re-apply the teflon tape on the valve. Great to have it back in service. Thanks for y our prompt customer support.
Correction: On the drain saddle, the bolt faces away from the connection (opposite of what was done). The nuts fit into small recesses on the other side so they don't spin. Thanks for the video. Helpful.
Thank you for a great video! Very helpful and successfully installed my first RO system. I got the 7 stage system and couldn't find many videos on it, but I was able to figure out the rest using common sense and some of the package inserts. Thanks again!
Great video but one change needed. For the feed water adapter (AFW43), these are compression type fittings with a rubber seal. Teflon tape should NOT be used on those threads. The rubber seals the connection, not the threaded connection. Only use teflon tape on the connections without a rubber seal.
Thank you for the video. I would recommend a different approach to install the drain saddle. Instead of attaching it first, then aligning the hole, I would suggest putting the black hose through it and inserting it into the drilled hole first, then carefully push the saddle piece against the pipe and finally attaching it with the screws

You should HAND-tighten the filter housings. Using the wrench will crack the housing if you use too much pressure tightening. Use the wrench to LOOSEN them when changing filters.
You do not need to wrap teflon tape around the threads on the shut off valves under the sink. They have rubber gaskets to create the seal, the threads are there just to draw it tight to the rubber gasket. Similar to a garden hose, the rubber gasket makes the seal. Nonetheless, great vid.

Part of the black water from the initial flush is from the Feed Water Adapter. Maybe grease or something from the seals. I've been testing each component for leaks as I install and noticed this. I recommend doing an initial flush of your cold water with the Feed Water Adapter installed so the grease / seal residue doesn't go into the RO / Stage filters
Great video so far! Although common sense can be made about this but before connecting the adapter, I would have suggested to turn off both water lines. Also, I just connected the red line to my system to flush and you didn’t mention anything and I started my water and the red line popped off and half my kitchen floor got sprayed with water. Wish you explained better for that part.
Excellent. Good volume, upbeat tempo and you use fast-forward effectively. The best of several RO videos I've seen. I think iSpring has a much older "How To" out there on YouTube. People complained about volume. You should take that down.
Just installed mine (7 stage UV). The hardest part was going back to put the Teflon tape on the threads of the cold water line (whoever did the plumbing initially didn’t bother with tape and it wasn’t leaking... so I didn’t think I needed it at that point. I needed it.).

This is a good "how to set up" as well as a refresher. However, if I understand correctly, Spring has adopted a new way of connecting the components to replace the threaded connectors. When you ship out replacement filters, you need to inform customers of the change. When I changed my filters (way past schedule) I saw the gunk the filters take out of my tap water. #1. I will never swallow another drop of tap water. #2. I will change filters at the recommended intervals from now on. This is a great product. The part about how to wrap the Teflon tape is very important. Clockwise.l Otherwise, you'll have massive leaks.
