To remove the backing off the label, there's a slot on the back with,an arrow next to it, on the opposite side to the cutter. Put your label in there and pull back out. It curls the label a little and the release paper comes off easier.
To pull labels, Velcro backing, or trash bags apart, you can use 1 or 2 pieces of tape.
I have the same labeler, picked it up from the thrift shop for like $10! Works awesome. I hacked a DC power jack into mine because it's incredibly rare that I happen to have 6 good AA batteries just lying around the house.
to peel it, you take 2 pieces of scotch tape and stick them to both sides then peel them apart.

To get to the adhesive you fold the label in half and then take off the 2 strips
There is a slot top right hand side place tape in slot as deep as it will go with print looking at you bend tape back 90deg and pull out sharply, and it will start a peel off for you sorted.
I’ve had this over a decade from a job I had that closed down. I took some stuff home as it was gonna be donated or tossed. But I’m noticing I can’t find the “hashtag” symbol(the pound sign/ number sign).

I use the edge of a sharp knife to separate the backing.
I have one of these and its old and i forgot how to use it, the batteries in it corroded but i cleaned the inside and it works. Problem is when i try to print something it makes a clicking noise but doesnt print at all. Mabe its the wheel inside that pulls out the paper. I dont know i have to see whats causing the problem and fix it.
My pt-65 the label keeps coiling inside the machine around the roller, or on itself. There is about 1/4 tape left. Do you think the batteries are weak?
Next time buy tape is purposely designed as 2 parts and has a slit in the middle to make it easy to peel from the Middle than from the Side.

How do you darken the display. It's to light to read. Sometimes I think its not on . Battery are new, in good shape there. Anybody know how to darken the display?
