You did a great job here, but sometimes when I do it, the screws that hold the burners onto the stove top, break. The heads pop off and the threaded screw part stays inside the base. Then you got a real big problem. Any ideas or tricks on how to get those screws out when they are basically "fused" together with the top?

Excellent video. To add to it - I was about to order the switches, each one cost $25 for my JGP336BED1BB, then I had this idea, how about I clean them first? So I clean them with baking soda + vinegar + dishwashing soap - my stove is as good as new.

Bought the same thing on Amazon, Nov 30, 2021 a little over $50.00.

I have the same burner not working and the knob size is bigger than the other knobs, so I couldn’t swap the modules for testing.

When I try to lite the stove top the circut breaker trips. Spill near control knob and slid paper towel under knob caused a fire type flash and breaker tripped. Left it dry and still happens.

I have a gas cooktop stove by Magic Chef model CGC2536ADQ, I just replaced the switch wire (igniter switch assembly) because one burner would not spark when I turned the knob and it had to be lit with a match. Now that the wire harness has been replaced they all spark when you turn any knob but they will not ignite even though I can smell the gas, unless I light it with a match or lighter. Why won't they ignite anymore? I got one burner to ignite one time so far after playing around with it. Is there still air in the gas line that needs to purge?

I saved $50 +++ by popping open the faulty switch, cleaning it and giving the metal tab a slight bend to improve contact. Good as new. Those $50 harnesses must cost all of 4 dollars to manufacture. What a scam! It pays to have the curiosity to take things apart and see how they work.

great tip video. we just bought our Kenmore about a year and the igniter already goes bad for one of the pits. is that normal?

Frigidaire really went out of their way to make this cumbersome.

Funny way to prove it is not igniter module :) Positioning of switches really does not make any difference. Any of the switches turns on all igniters on the stove. If switch is defective it will either ignite all burners all the time or will not ignite any ever. Positioning of it has no relevance and does not prove anything. Otherwise video is great and very helpful. Thank you.
